I, the Executioner is a 2024 is the sequel to his 2015 film Veteran (2015).
Veteran detective Seo Do-cheol (Hwang Jung-min), who battles crime day and night without time to take care of his own family, is part of the Violent Crimes Investigation Unit. One day, the death of a professor is revealed to be connected to previous murder cases, causing a nationwide commotion over a serial killer. As the detectives begin their investigation, following the clues, the serial killer seemingly mocks them by releasing a teaser on the internet, announcing the next target, further unsettling the entire country. The Violent Crimes Investigation Unit brings in Park Sun-woo (Jung Hae-in), a young detective full of a sense of justice who has caught Seo Do-cheol's eye. The case then takes a new direction...
