Lunchtime Music Concert at U-M North Campus Research Complex (NCRC)
A Premiere Performance of Restored 1730 Florentine Harpsichord
As part of an ongoing restoration and research project, the students of Associate Professor Joseph Gascho's harpsichord studio present a recital on one of the Stearns Collection's most beautiful instruments, heard playable for the first time in many years: an Italian harpsichord from the early 18th century. DMA harpsichordist Justin Wallace will also present a short talk about his recent work restoring the instrument under the guidance of master builders Thomas and Barbara Wolf.
