Student Summit: Elevating Careers, Empowering Futures in STEM
The purpose of the Student Summit hosted by MI-LSAMP & Office of Culture, Community & Equity (OCCE) is to empower STEM students, including those from diverse backgrounds through engaging discussions, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities in order to develop their leadership skills, inspire innovative thinking, and cultivate a community of dynamic student leaders.
Our Goals:
Leadership Development: Enhance participants' understanding of leadership principles, styles, and strategies to become more effective leaders.
Motivation and Goal Setting: Help students set and achieve personal and group goals, understanding the importance of motivation and perseverance.
Networking and Relationship Building: Develop participants' ability to build and maintain meaningful professional relationships and network.
Teamwork and Collaboration: Foster the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups, demonstrating teamwork and conflict resolution skills.
