We asked, you answered. In 2024, cats were the unequivocal winner in the Special Collections Research Center's Cats vs. Dogs Third Thursday Vote, but this February, we’re posing a harder question: cows…or horses? Who will win?

Join us for a parade of hoofed herbivores from rare books and archival collections in the Special Collections Research Center, from the 16th century "Majālis al-ʻushshāq," from the Islamic Manuscripts Collection to bucolic postcards in the Ezra Stone Papers, to "Click, Clack, Moo" (2000) from the Children’s Literature Collection. Light refreshments will be served.

Join us (on the 6th floor of Hatcher) for Third Thursdays at the Library, a themed monthly open house where we share materials from our collections.

While you’re here, pick up a Third Thursday Passport and collect a stamp from each of the three Third Thursday Open Houses — the Clark Library, International Studies, and Special Collections Research Center — to win a prize.
