"In 1982, I produced I Heard It Through The Grapevine, a documentary film that took the writer on a journey back through the Civil Rights South. From Selma to Birmingham to the battleground beaches of St. Augustine, FL, along the way Jimmy meets Chinua Achebe, Sterling Brown, Amiri Baraka and others."
