Join us for an immersive, full-dome livestream as the first images from the world's largest telescope are revealed!

The NSF-DOE Vera C. Rubin Observatory, funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation and U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Science, is on a ten-year mission to scan the sky with the largest telescope in history. The Rubin Observatory will allow researchers to scan the entire visible sky, using a 3200-megapixel camera the size of a small car—the largest digital camera ever built.

We will also be featuring live Q&A with researchers from the U-M Department of Astronomy.

Registration for the U-M Museum of Natural History's Planetarium & Dome Theater is currently full, but we strongly encourage you to join the waitlist via the registration link.

Further details and information on how to register for the Detroit Observatory's screening will be announced shortly.
