Join us for the final performance by MPulse Percussion Institute participants.
The MPulse Percussion Institute is one of U-M's summer performing arts programs for high school aged students, led by SMTD Professor Ian Antonio and assisted by Dr. Jean Carlo UreƱa Gonzalez, Assistant Professor of Music at Lawrence University. Students have lessons, classes, and projects centered around marimba, snare drum, timpani, drum set, and percussion ensemble, and explore non-Western musical traditions, improvisation, musical technology, and how to prepare for college auditions.
