In the modern world, we have a whole host of medicines for a variety of ailments. Have a headache? We might take aspirin. Have a nasty bacterial infection? A doctor might prescribe an antibiotic. But what did people in the ancient world do? In this tour, we will look at artifacts from ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt, and Rome related to ancient medicine and its intersection with magic and religion.

This event is free and open to all visitors. If you have any questions or concerns regarding accessing this event, please visit our accessibility page at https://myumi.ch/zwPkd or contact the education office by calling (734) 647-4167. We ask for advance notice as some accommodations may require more time for the university to arrange.
