Eighty Years Since the End of World War II
Third Thursdays at the Library

September 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the end of the hostilities of World War II. Visit the Clark Library to explore our collection of cartographic materials made during the war, including maps for the homefront, for inspiring Allied troops abroad, and for planning the movements of armed forces. Some examples of maps we’ll have on display include German intelligence maps and photographs, and top secret Allied plans for D-Day.
Join us (on the 2nd floor of Hatcher) for Third Thursdays at the Library, a themed monthly open house where we share materials from our collections. While you’re here, pick up a Third Thursday Passport and collect a stamp from each of the four Third Thursday Open Houses — the Clark Library, International Studies, Asia Library, and the Special Collections Research Center — to win a prize!
