Topology seminar: Simple links in S1xS2 and some other manifolds

Fraser Binns (Princeton)

Abstract: Link Floer homology is a powerful invariant due to Ozsváth-Szabó. For certain 3-manifolds, Y, I will discuss classifications of links in Y that are "simple" from various points of view of link Floer homology. The manifolds Y that I consider will be S1xS2 as well as sutured manifolds, a type of manifold with boundary.
