Cosmo-Astro Seminar | Dynamical dark energy: Physical theories and parameterized models

David Shlivko (Princeton University)

Many theories of dark energy predict a time-varying dark energy density, in stark contrast to Einstein’s cosmological constant. Recently, we have seen the first hints of an observational preference for such dynamical theories. In this talk, I will discuss how phenomenological models can be used to not only distinguish dynamical dark energy from a cosmological constant, but also constrain its underlying microphysics.
