Student Combinatorics: Discrete Complex Analysis: T-holomorphic Functions

Zach Deiman

Discrete complex analysis is a useful tool for analyzing limits of fluctuations of centered height functions. After describing this motivation in the context of random tilings of regions, we will introduce discrete holomorphic functions on a square lattice via a natural construction, and then generalize this by defining t-holomorphic functions on a triangular lattice. Time permitting, we will discuss how to define t-holomorphic functions on non-triangular lattices.
