Presented By: Leinweber Institute for Theoretical Physics Cosmology Astrophysics Seminars

Cosmo-Astro Seminar | Modified Gravity

1. Enrico Specogna (University of Sheffield) | 2 .Wei Liu (University of Science and Technology of China)

1. We look for evidence of the effects induced by seemingly different extensions to the standard cosmological model in the cosmic microwave background (CMB) primary and secondary anisotropies: modified gravity, massive neutrinos and non-vanishing spatial curvature. By looking at their correlations and the differences in the impact they have on cosmological observables, such as the CMB lensing potential spectrum, we assess whether such additions can be told apart and identify the common root to their detection: the lensing anomaly.
2. In this talk, I will briefly introduce two research topics I am working on—A Unifying Approach to the Morphology of Large-scale Structure & A Unifying Framework to Study Modified Gravity/Dark Energy.
