Student Commutative Algebra: Binomial rings and 位-rings

Maria Madrugo

A commutative ring is said to be binomial if it is torsion-free as a 饾悪-module and contains all binomial coefficients. A 位-ring is a commutative ring with additional structure, modelling after exterior powers of vector spaces. In this talk, we will see some examples of properties of these types of rings, as well as the relation between the two definitions.
