Professor of Bassoon Jeffrey Lyman and the members of the University of Michigan Bassoon Studio will present a program of solo and ensemble works on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 5:00 pm in Stamps Auditorium. New music from Italy by David Fontanesi and Alberto Schiavo will begin the program, followed by Alain Bernaud's wild showpiece Hallucinations for bassoon and piano. The rest of the program will feature bassoon quartets and quintets by Amy Beth Kirsten, Astor Piazzolla, and a new quartet by Wynton Marsalis titled 4 Bassoons Talking.
