Violinist Sibbi Bernhardsson will present a Chamber Music Forum co-presented by the Strings and Chamber Music Departments.

In the first half, Bernhardsson will perform newly-written works for solo violin by six composers from his home country of Iceland and his current home of Oberlin, Ohio: Finnur Karlsson, Tryggvi Baldvinsson, Jeffrey Mumford, Una Sveinbjarnardottir, Stephen Hartke, and Thorkell Sigurbjornsson. In the second half, Bernhardsson will work with two SMTD chamber music groups, sharing his experience as a former member of the Pacifica Quartet and long time pedagogue in the chamber music world.
