We often study the ancient world as if each culture were completely separate, focusing on ancient Egypt, Cyprus, Rome, Mesopotamia, and Greece in isolation. But the Mediterranean truly was connected! In this tour, we’ll look at the links between these Mediterranean cultures resulting from such factors as trade, migration, and conquest. We’ll look at artifacts found in places we might not expect to find them, as well as evidence of the blending of cultures and traditions.

This event is free and open to all visitors. If you have any questions or concerns regarding accessing this event, please visit our accessibility page at https://myumi.ch/zwPkd or contact the education office by calling (734) 647-4167. We ask for advance notice as some accommodations may require more time for the university to arrange.
