Student Algebraic Geometry: Iitaka conjecture

The plurigenera and Kodaira dimension are important birational invariants for smooth projective varieties. In this talk, we will introduce Iitaka's subadditivity conjecture for the Kodaira dimension, and its relationship to the positivity of the direct image of the pluricanonical bundle.
