Student AIM Seminar: Website Workshop and Annual Mixer Dinner
James Larsen
Complementary to a resume, CV, or LinkedIn profile, a personal website is a common and effective way for graduate students to market themselves and their research. It is a flexible medium that can showcase your personality and the impressive work you are undertaking during your PhD. As your name starts to show up as an author on publications, people will inevitably google you and search for a personal website to find out more. Come join me in a website workshop where we will discuss how to get started with Github pages, add a custom URL link, add blog posts or CVs or links to social networking, and more! If you already have a website, join us and leverage this time to update it and share what's worked well for you.
This event will be followed by an Annual Mixer Dinner at 5:30 pm.
