The University of Michigan Campus Orchestras are made up of two main orchestras: Campus Symphony Orchestra (CSO) and Campus Philharmonia Orchestra (CPO). Both groups are comprised of non-music major students, faculty members, staff, and alumni of the University of Michigan.
The Campus Orchestras are conducted by Graduate Student Conductors at the School of Music, Theatre & Dance. Some of the past Campus Orchestras conductors are now assistant conductors or music directors in professional orchestras around the country.
