Lakeside Leadership Weekend taking place October 30–November 1, 2026 is an immersive retreat where participants are invited to explore their leadership and different roles in a temporary outdoor community through shared decision-making, collaborative problem-solving, and intentional communal living.

Based from a rustic cabin near the water, participants will prepare meals, divide responsibilities, navigate challenges, gather around evening campfires, spend time by the lake, and reflect on what it means to contribute to a healthy, resilient community. The program takes place October 30–November 1, 2026. Participants will spend two nights in shared rustic cabin accommodations in the Lower Peninsula before returning to the Adventure Leadership Resource Center located on Central Campus during the afternoon on Sunday, November 1.

The program includes cabin accommodations, meals during the weekend, instruction, program materials, all necessary group equipment, and the opportunity to borrow any recommended outdoor gear at no additional cost. Personal clothing, bedding, and toiletries are not included.
