Student Analysis Seminar: Black Holes and the Penrose "Singularity" Theorem

The first goal will be to discuss the milestones in theoretical physics that led to the discovery of black holes. The second will be to discuss the Penrose "Singularity" Theorem in some mathematical detail, with some discussion of how it fits into the larger historical picture.
