Social Justice and Community Empowerment

Many contemporary expressions of Latina/o arts and culture contribute towards a broader process of social transformation in America fully informed and in dialogue with Dr. Martin Luther King's vision of equality and justice for all. In this panel, the Latina/o Studies Program highlights the scholarly and community contributions of new and recent faculty from across campus, including Anita González (Theatre), Ashley Lucas (Theatre), Jonathan Ovalle (Music), and Nilo Couret (Romance Languages and Literatures). Lunch will be served. Free and open to the public.
