Beat Battle: Rhythm Redux
Come join FOKUS and the UofM community at our 4th annual Beat Battle: Rhythm Redux!
This tournament-style event will start with a PRE-EVENT DIALOGUE on FRIDAY FEB 21ST at 5PM in EQ followed by the BEAT BATTLE where we will bring out U of M's most innovative beat-makers to our stage on SATURDAY FEB 22ND at 7PM in the Michigan League Underground.
This year's battle focuses on the rhythmic and soulful genre known as "The Blues". The dialogue, featuring Professor Bruce Conforth, will explore the influences of the Blues on modern day music.
For the battle, contestants have been asked to produce original beats incorporating the powerful sound and emotion of The Blues and perform them live for YOU.
The winner of this year's battle will get the opportunity to preform live in front of hundreds of people at our biggest event of the year, Vanguards.
So if you're interested in The Blues, Beats, or just jamming to dope tunes-come check it out!
