The word nerds at the Sweetland Center for Writing invite you to join Sweetland’s National Day on Writing Iron Writing Challenge on social media! There won’t be thousands of dollars at stake, but there WILL be great prizes! Participate in any or all of FOUR writing challenges issued throughout the day.

We will issue the challenges on our Facebook page and via our Twitter feed (@umichSweetland), and you can enter in one of two ways:

Add your response on our FB page as a comment on the challenge(s) you want to enter OR
Tweet your response using the hashtag “SweetlandNDOW”

Every challenge response gains the participant an entry in a lottery for a $20 gift card to Literati, and each individual challenge winner (determined by number of retweets/favorites/likes) will receive a $45 gift card.

On October 20, the National Day on Writing, we’ll roll out the challenges via Facebook throughout the day and take entries all day long. Entries will also be live streaming on screens in North Quad and in the Sweetland lobby.

The following week, we’ll tally and announce the winners on Facebook and Twitter.
