Special guest Larry L. Collins, fire chief of the City of Ann Arbor, will ring the “Last Alarm” toll for firefighters at noon on the heaviest bell of the Charles Baird Carillon. This will be followed by assistant professor of Carillon Tiffany Ng’s recital of John Courter’s “In Memoriam – September 11, 2001” and other memorial and reflective pieces on the 53-bell carillon of Burton Memorial Tower. The audience is invited to listen on Ingalls Mall.
