Quasiconformal mappings on the Grushin plane

A growing body of recent literature investigates quasiconformal mappings in the setting of equiregular sub-Riemannian manifolds. In this talk we consider quasiconformal mappings on the Grushin plane, a basic example of a non-equiregular sub-Riemannian manifold. We will prove an equivalence of definitions of quasiconformality for such mappings and discuss limitations of this equivalence. This is joint work with C. Gartland and D. Jung. Speaker(s): Matthew Romney (UIUC)
