Renormalized volume of hyperbolic 3-manifolds

We will discuss renormalized volume as defined by Krasnov and Schlenker. While the definition was originally motivated by physics we will describe a number of properties (due to Krasnov-Schlenker) that show that it is a natural definition from a mathematician’s perspective. Speaker(s): Ken Bromberg (University of Utah)
