Equivariant localization for periodic cyclic homology

There is a close relationship between derived loop spaces, a geometric object, and Hochschild/cyclic homology, a categorical invariant. We will discuss this relationship and how the geometry of these loop spaces leads to equivariant localization for periodic cyclic homology, and ongoing work on generalizations and applications in computing periodic cyclic homology.
Speaker(s): Harrison Chen (UC Berkeley)
