We will present a background on various fixed-point theorems for topological spaces and discuss their relation to the Weil's Trace formula and his conjectures. We will then present the Fulton Trace formula, some applications, and a few ingredients that go into the proof. This talk will be accessible to anyone who is in or has taken 632. Speaker(s): Ben Krakoff (UM)
