Open House / Daylight Tours
Built in 1854, Detroit Observatory signaled the University of Michigan’s ambition to become a center of scientific research. Today this historic site retains its original telescopes and mechanical systems. Daylight tours explore the working life of this Victorian research facility and the early campus. Students, staff and the general public are welcome!
