On tour from Virginia, Detroit native Tracy Cowden (piano), and Alaskan-born Tabatha Easley (flute), will present Pulse: Enchantments in Movement and Nature. It features music that is inspired by movement in nature and dance traditions from around the world, including South America and Australia. Promoting the work of living composers, they perform internationally featuring women composers for flute and piano; bi-culturalism (drawing on a second culture for inspiration) in American flute repertoire; and the music of Australian and New Zealand composers Carl Vine, Ross Edwards and Gareth Farr. Look for live stream video on Gifts of Art Facebook.
