The 23rd Concert4aCause seeks to raise enthusiasm and support for CIRCLES of Friends In Deed, a Washtenaw County nonprofit empowering disadvantaged persons (designated “Leaders”) towards success through substantial relationships with volunteers (called “Allies”). This performance will feature SMTD students and faculty, including the Blue Flute Choir, the New Saxophone Quartet, the Khachaturian Trio, dancer Mario Vircha, jazz 4-hand pianists Alexis Lombre and Jordan Anderson, and classical 4-hand pianists Xtian Matijas Mecca and Kathryn Goodson, among others. CIRCLES’s leader, bassist Lonette Perry, will be showcased playing with her mentor, Flint Symphony Orchestra cellist Thor Sigurdson.
