The String Preparatory Academy at the U-M School of Music, Theatre & Dance (SMTD) provides the highest quality of string training to pre-college musicians in elementary through high school. Cello and violin students receive private lessons with faculty, guest and graduate student instructors as well as participate in monthly master classes by renowned U-M string faculty.
