The talk is about Riemann surfaces.

I will make use of knowledge about calculus on surfaces (e.g. from Vol. 1--2 of Goursat's Course on Mathematical Analysis) and algebraic geometry (e.g. from Ch.0--4 of Griffiths and Harris's Principles of Algebraic Geometry or Ch.2--5 of Hartshorne's Algebraic Geometry). Speaker(s): Jason Liang (UM)
