Osvaldo Lamborghini has become a referent for contemporary generations in Argentina and elsewhere. His cult-like literature, short narratives and poetry, is considered today as a challenge both for the conventional literary and cultural production as well as for the history and canon of national and regional literatures. The recent publication of a series of unedited and unpublished materials only reinforces the relevance of the author, in a rigorous work conducted by Argentine poet and journalist Gabriela Borrelli Azara. This publication sheds new light on one of the most important contemporary authors in Spanish. We invite you to a collaborative workshop to reflect on his political and literary significance, as well as a book presentation and talk. This presentation will be shared with Romance Languages and Literatures professor Sergio Villalobos Ruminott, who is currently preparing a manuscript on this and other Latin American authors, from a political theory and psicoanalisis’ perspective.
This event is sponsored by the Romance Languages and Literatures department and the Rackham Dean's Strategic Initiative (DSI).
