The U-M CEW+ Scholarship Application for the 2020-21 school year is now available online. CEW+ Scholarship applicants must be enrolled at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, Flint, or Dearborn campus) during the year for which the scholarship is awarded. Interested students can apply for admission to U-M and the CEW+ Scholarship concurrently. Eligible candidates include undergraduate, graduate, and professional students of any gender identity who are primary caregivers, whose education has been interrupted, or who are actively engaged in F.E.M.M.E.S., GEECS, WISE, WISE-RP, or SWE and working towards a STEM degree.
For complete eligibility criteria and more information about the application process, visit cew.umich.edu/funding/cew-scholarships.
Awards range from $1,000 to $11,000, with some larger amounts awarded.
DEADLINE EXTENDED: Applications are due May 7, 2020, 11:59 PM.
The CEW+ Scholarship Program, which today serves women and underserved students, was established in 1970 to honor the academic performance and potential of women whose education has been interrupted and to commemorate the one-hundredth anniversary of the admission of women to the University of Michigan.
Thanks to the generosity of individuals, organizations, clubs, and foundations, CEW+ has awarded over 1,800 scholarships since 1970. CEW+ Scholarships are invaluable and unique in that they are tailored to complement a student’s existing aid package. With support from our generous donors, CEW+ was able to expand the program in 2008 to include additional scholarships for students of all genders.
CEW+ empowers women and underserved individuals in the University of Michigan and surrounding communities by serving as an advocate and providing resources to help them reach their academic, financial, and professional potential.
