U-M professor Tiffany Ng performs a program to ring out #BlackLivesMatter solidarity with original music by Yvette Janine Jackson, Wilbert Roget II, and more, plus arrangements ranging from "This Little Light of Mine" to Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, and Mahalia Jackson signature songs. (George Matthew, Jr.'s appearance has been postponed indefinitely due to travel concerns.)

Concerts are free and family-friendly. We kindly ask that attendees support physical distancing practices by bringing picnic blankets and lawn chairs and responsibly spacing themselves throughout Gerstacker Grove, and we advise wearing masks when conversing with people from other households.

PayStation parking is available behind the Walgreen Drama Center (https://ltp.umich.edu/lot/?xyz=fG) and the lots behind the Beyster Building (https://ltp.umich.edu/lot/?xyz=fZ), as well in other North Campus lots.

A “virtuoso” (HKSNA) in command of a range of expression from “eerie sonance” (Diapason) to “jumpy athleticism” (Chicago Classical Review), Dr. Tiffany Ng is Assistant Professor of Carillon at the University of Michigan. Her concert career spans festivals in seventeen countries in Europe, Asia, Australia, and North America, where she has premiered over 60 acoustic and electroacoustic works, championed women composers, and pioneered models for interactive “crowdsourced” and environmental-data-driven carillon performances. She holds a doctorate in musicology and new media from the University of California, Berkeley, a master’s degree in organ from the Eastman School of Music, an artist diploma with great distinction from the Royal Carillon School in Belgium, and a bachelor’s degree from Yale.
