Young people who identify as LGBTQ+ face significantly higher risk for depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues than their peers who are not sexual or gender minorities. Gary Harper, Professor of Health Behavior and Health Education and Global Public Health at the School of Public Health, and his team are working to ensure that primary care clinics in the US are equipped to screen at-risk LGBTQ+ youth and provide them with welcoming, competent, and high-quality care.
