Summer Carillon Concert: Eva Albalghiti
Eva Albalghiti performs the third of our "7 at 7" Monday night carillon concerts at Lurie Tower on the Eda U. Gerstacker Grove on North Campus. Bring a picnic!
The annual series takes place at 7 PM on Mondays from June 21 to August 9, featuring performers from Michigan and around the U.S. playing either Burton or Lurie Tower. Concerts are free and family-friendly. The carillon is an outdoor instrument, and attendees are requested to maintain social distance in the outdoor listening areas surrounding the towers. Attendees are required to follow the University of Michigan, Washtenaw County, Michigan state, and federal guidelines for large outdoor gatherings.

BIOGRAPHY: Eva Albalghiti is originally from Silver Spring, MD. She began playing carillon at Yale University, where she took lessons with Ellen Dickinson and was a member of the Yale Guild of Carillonneurs for three years. In 2018, she became a Carillonneur Member of the Guild of Carillonneurs of North America. After taking a two-year break from carillon to pursue a research opportunity in Beijing, China, she came to the University of Michigan in 2020 to pursue her PhD in Environmental Engineering.
