Arithmetic dynamics on the rational maps with nontrivial automorphisms

In the field of arithmetic dynamics, we study number theoretic aspects of discrete dynamical systems induced by rational maps. Among the rational maps on the projective line, there is an interesting family of maps, in which the maps have nontrivial automorphisms. I will introduce this family of maps and talk about how we can use it in studying two topics in arithmetic dynamics, the Misiurewicz polynomial and the uniform boundedness conjecture.

This talk will be on Zoom. Please email Sarah at kochsc@umich.edu for the Zoom info. Speaker(s): Minsik Han (Brown)
