Student Commutative Algebra Seminar

Tilting and untiliting with a focus on examples

I will demonstrate correspondences between characteristic p, mixed characteristic and characteristic 0 objects with a focus on computing examples. I will start with Teichmuller lifts and Witt vectors and end with the equivalence between perfectoid algebras in characteristic 0 over K and characteristic p over K's tilt. Speaker(s): Calvin Yost-Wolff (University of Michigan, Ann Arbor)
