Approach Matters: Community-Driven Research as a Path to Health Equity
With Caroline Rucah, Western Kenya LBQT Feminist Forum; Laura Jadwin-Cakmak, School of Public Health; Rebecca Hardin, School of Environment and Sustainability; and Gary Harper, School of Public Health
Across the spectrum of research approaches that seek to involve communities, not all are alike. When researchers incorporate broad community participation—especially when they emphasize conversation and community voices—they often find their projects are not only more equitable but more successful. Community members offer critical insight into approaches and interventions that will work best in local contexts.
Join us Thursday, March 24 from 9-10am for a conversation that centers the voices of our community partners and their University of Michigan partners as they describe co-design and co-creation processes.
