FAST Lecture | Updates from the Field
Erica Venturo, Chloe Morris, Ginny Migierina, and Hannah Edwards
Hear from U-M graduate students Erica Venturo (IPAMAA), Chloe Morris (IPAMAA), Ginny Miglierina (IPAMAA), and Hannah Edwards (IPAH) as they present on their summer fieldwork.
Erica spent ten weeks this summer working on three separate field projects—in the lab at Gabii, as a Finds Team member at the same site, and as a field supervisor on the Marzuolo Archaeological Project (MAP) in Tuscany. Erica will focus on her time at Marzuolo, taking the audience through the research goals, daily experience, and most exciting discoveries of the last field season of MAP.
Next, Chloe, Ginevra, and Hannah will present the findings from the 2024 field season of the Pella Urban Dynamics Project. They will discuss the methodologies and results from the excavation and survey, as well as life in the village of Pella.
This event will take place in Room 125 of the Kelsey Museum’s Newberry Hall. Light refreshments and food will be provided before the lecture, which will begin at 6 PM.
FAST (Field Archaeology Series on Thursday) lectures are free and open to the public.
