Women were Egyptologists, but did they really excavate in the Valley of the Kings around the turn of the 20th century? Dr. Kathleen Sheppard thinks so! In this brief presentation, she will talk about the exciting and sometimes dangerous work women were doing on excavations in the early days of Egyptology.

Kathleen Sheppard is a professor in the Department of History and Political Science and the director of the Center for Science, Technology, and Society at Missouri S&T.
