Should Religion Play a Role in the Law?

Part of the Samantha Woll Dialogues, Raoul Wallenberg Institute Director Jeffrey Veidlinger will moderate an exchange between Winnifred Fallers Sullivan (professor religious studies at Indiana University Bloomington and author of The Impossibility of Religious Freedom) and Benjamin Berger (professor and York Research Chair in pluralism and public law at Osgoode Law School and author of Law’s Religion) on how legal systems engage with religious beliefs and practices in pluralistic societies and how recent supreme court decisions and executive actions affect the relationship between the state and the church.
