FAST Lecture | Updates from the Field
Lorraine Abagatnan, Bailey Franzoi, Volkan Topal, and Caroline Everts, IPAMAA
Welcome back to the start of the semester and to the beginning of the Field Archaeological Series on Thursday (FAST) lecture series! As is tradition, our first FAST will feature presentations by our very own IPAMAA students, who will discuss their fieldwork and research this past summer. Lorraine Abagatnan will present on her independent research in Sicily and her participation in the excavations at Piazza Armerina; Bailey Franzoi will present on the research and publication of the historic site of Jebel Barkal; and Volkan Topal and Caroline Everts will jointly present on this year’s excavation season at Notion and their findings.
FAST (Field Archaeology Series on Thursday) Lectures are free and open to the public. This event will take place in Room 125 of the Kelsey Museum’s Newberry Hall. Light refreshments and food will be provided at 5:30 PM, with the lecture starting at 6:00 PM.
