As educators, we are tasked with guiding students in developing specific skills to aid them in reimagining their role as citizens concerned with social justice and individual growth. As the country and its democratic institutions face tumultuous change, the American university faces a variety of challenges to humanities and liberal arts education–including our own campus responses to national discussions around diversity, equity and inclusion. Join professors from the Department of American Culture to discuss challenges, goals and methods to consider as we work to stay consistent in our pursuit to ensure that diversity, equity, and inclusion continue to be effective tools we use to build pedagogies for all student's academic success.
